I treated my son to a fun day of Lego rides and interactive walls

WHILE summer is a time of year we all count the days down for, it's not always an easy time for parents.

Although the sunshine may have a direct impact on your happiness, it also means the school break is on the way.

And parents everywhere will be looking for easy and fun ways to entertain their children without breaking the bank.

Luckily, one mum has found a really affordable way to do just this.

Taking to her social media, Alais shared a clip of her little one walking up a brick road as she explained: "Parents, listen up. This is such a good place to take your child in Birmingham."

Revealing that she needed a place that was cheap and cheerful for her son's birthday.

"UK cost of living is not a joke and the Lego Discovery Centre is perfect," she told viewers as she panned the camera around to show off the colourful walls and activities available.

Alais said it was just £12.50 for an adult and child combined ticket, which is perfect for a fun day out.

Picking up a yellow Lego brick, she then stuck it to the blue Lego-covered wall as she said "every single wall gave us something to do".

She went on to vow that there's "no way" your child will get bored, adding that the very first activity you do upon arriving is going on a ride called Kingdom Quest.

There's also a "very impressive Lego version of Birmingham city centre", including landmarks like Cadbury World, Aston Villa Stadium and the Cricket Ground.

Alais also said there was a room filled with buckets of the toy, with a feminine side and masculine side as well as a playzone in the middle.

"One of the best things was making our own Lego cars," she went on. "Oh yeah, and there's another ride in the building."

She continued: "They’ve considered everything, including if you have young kids."

There are giant soft Lego toys for kids to play with too, alongside a shop that she's convinced is "just for adults".

In the caption, TikTok user @alaisugc added: "Wondering what to do with the kids?"

Viewers were quick to comment on the video as one person wrote: "thank youuuu, plzzz post more place in birmingham," followed by a crying with laughter emoji.

Another said: "omg it's perfect," as others tagged their friends and family to beg: "can you please take me".

Some suggested alternative places to take the kids as one said: "You should go Cadbury World it's rlly gf n kids learn abt history".

While a second shared: "Another good Birmingham afternoon out is Birmingham Conservation Park x".
