Tesla already has premium car stereo system in its electric vehicles, equipping each and every one of them with am all-around great combo of speakers and subwoofer. Elon Musk is on record saying that Tesla wants to up the entertainment chops of its vehicles so as to keep their passengers occupied when the glory days of autonomous driving are in full swing.

One integral component of great entertainment is a good in-car audio, and Tesla made its premium sound system available on the Model 3 and Model Y in the US instead of being a costly option. Tesla's bestselling vehicles now come with either 14 or 15 speakers, according to the model year, as well as an 8-inch subwoofer.

For the Cybertruck, however, Tesla may up the premium sound ante even further by outfitting it with not one, but two forward-facing 8-inch woofers tucked under the rear seats. The ported subwoofers will most likely come accompanied by untold quantity of high-end speakers, too. Back in December, Elon Musk commented that the Cybertruck will come with an "epic sound system" when teasing the arrival of Steam gaming to Tesla vehicles, and the dual ported woofers kit shows how Tesla aims to make good on that promise.

The two 8" subwoofers of the Cybertruck were spotted on its low voltage architecture schematics shown during Tesla's long and winding Investor Day conference. As for the actual Cybertruck audio system specs, its prices or shipping date, Tesla will probably hold a dedicated event to announce all the details. Elon Musk pegged the Cybertruck launch event as probable towards the tail end of Q3, meaning that the summer months will pass with Cybertruck rumors and teases, while the actual release date is not expected before September.
