Toy & Edu China, Baby & Stroller China, Licensing China Have Successful 2023 Events • The Toy Book

Toy & Edu China, Baby & Stroller China, and Licensing China recently finished their concurrent events, opening the doors to trade fair guests April 7-9. Messe Frankfurt, one of the event's organizers, reports that the three events saw 70,836 visitors, a 40% increase from 2022. The fairs hosted 1,400 exhibitors from six countries and regions, and took place at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center.

"This is our first time visiting the concurrent fairs and we have a group of 10 companies joining the delegation. The industry has changed after three years of the pandemic, so it is a must for us to come and see the latest industry developments, as well as to feel and touch the products instead of sourcing only through photos," says Sutjiadi Lukas, President, Asosiasi Mainan Indonesia, Indonesia (buyer delegation). "We have also talked to business counterparts and gained insights into changes to different country policies that are related to the baby and toy businesses. So overall I think the fair is very important to the industry to converge related suppliers and buyers in one place."

Toy & Edu China centered exhibitors with entertainment and educational toys for children and adults alike. Exhibitors included companies such as Colorato, Everite, Hape, MIC-O-MIC, Theo Klein, TY, and more. Baby & Stroller China focuses on products made for parents, with exhibitors such as Babybean, BAOBAOHAO, Road Mate, and more. Finally, Licensing China brings licensed IPs to its center stage, with well-known brands such as L.O.L. Surprise! and Sesame Street among the overseas exhibitors.

The fairs also featured talks focused on various elements of licensing, branding, toys, and other significant topics within the industries. Following the success of the 2023 event, the organizers have already expressed their intention to bring the three fairs back in April 2024.
