We always stop in our tracks when Kate Middleton arrives at an event in a pristine gown. Throughout her time as a member of the royal family, she's become a fashion icon for people everywhere, with many of the dresses she rocks selling out almost instantly (thank goodness for dupes!) Despite being one of the biggest fashion inspirations in the world, Kate likes to stay environmentally friendly by frequently re-wearing some of her most dazzling dresses.

Over the years, Kate has become well-known for recycling some of her elegant outfits more than a few times in public. While this may not seem like a big deal at a first glance, it says something about her sensibility. Fast fashion has become a sizable problem for the environment. Per UNECE, it's become "the second-highest user of water worldwide, producing 20 percent of total global water waste." To counteract this, many public figures like Kate and Jane Fonda have taken it upon themselves to re-wear pieces they have.

Most recently, the Princess of Wales re-wore her chestnut brown Hobbs Coat during her visit to Cornwall on Feb 9. Knowing her, she’ll continue to spruce up more of her past outfits for future events.

So let's check out the times Kate recycled her dazzling outfits below.

Middleton pulled out her comfy brown L.K. Bennett jacket from the archives while appearing in a video promoting her "Shaping Us" campaign, which spotlights the importance of early childhood. The royal actually wore this shearling jacket (several times!) twelve years ago, per Page Six. While it's sadly out of stock now, you can find other winter options from the brand here.

Another pink staple Kate has worn multiple times is the ME + EM Pink Colorblock Dress. She first debuted the dress back in May 2021, and rewore it for the highly-publicized Chelsea Flower Show in 2023. Fun fact: her mother Carole Middleton has even worn this during royal fucntions

Kate has really made 2023 the year she rocks the Barbiecore trend. Seriously, when she stepped out in this bubblegum pink Alexander MCQueen suit, news outlets lost it. But it isn't the first time she's rocked the suit! In fact, she originally debuted this look in June 2022 during a visit to the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.

One of Kate's fan-favorite looks was her Royal Ascot 2019 look: an Elie Saab ensemble, which she paired with Kiki McDonough earrings, an Elie Saab clutch, and a Philip Treacy from 2016. And in 2023, she rewore the entire outfit again!

Kate originally debuted this asymmetrical, red power suit from Alexander McQueen back in Jan 2023 during a visit to a pre-BAFTA event, and rewor it for King Charles’ Coronation concert only four months later.

Chances are, if you’re as obsessed with Kate's looks like we are, then you’ve noticed she's rocked this Mulberry Amberley Black Bag on many occasions. She's styled this bag to her looks at least six times since Feb 2022, and we’re sure she’ll wear it more

With Kate's latest outing to the Aberfan memorial garden on April 28, 2023, many eagle-eyed fans noticed she rewore a gorgeous Zara Black & White Houndstooth Pussybow Dress. She debuted this dress in 2020 during a visit to Bradford, and again in 2021 for a UCL visit.

Back in July 10, 2021, Kate Middleton debuted this mid-length, emerald green Emilia Wickstead Denver Dress during Wimbledon, and less than a year later, she rocked it again during the Platinum Jubilee Royal Tour of the Caribbean on March 24, 2022.

One coat Kate Middleton has worn quite a few times in recent years is her gorgeous Massimo Dutti Camel Coat. She debuted the look during a visit to Newham Ambulance Station on March 18, 2021. Since then, she's re-worn the coat four times, per Kate Middleton Style.

Yellow looks so good on the Princess of Wales, especially when she's rocking this Roksanda's Brigitte Dress in yellow. She debuted the dress in March 22, 2022 when she and Prince William arrived in Jamaica for their Caribbean Tour, and wore it again less than two months later for Wimbledon!

Kate Middleton originally debuted this stunning red Eponine London Fitted Coat Dress back in May 2021 during a visit to the National Portrait Gallery, and again wore it as a stunning summer fit for Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Celebration Concert.

As many eagle-eyed fans saw, Kate rewore her trusted REISS Larsson Blazer during her surprise visit to the Baby Bank on April 24, 2023. She's previously worn this blazer during an April 2022 trip to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) headquarters and a visit to RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire in Sept 2021, per Kate Middleton Style.

One of Kate's newest rewears is this ornate pair of earrings: the Sezane Dina Earrings in Gold Plated With ‘Ocean Blue’ Stones. She first wore them on Christmas Day 2022, and again on April 20 for her and Prince William's visit to Birmingham. It's believed they were a Christmas gift from William, but neither have confirmed or denied this.

Not only did Kate Middleton wow in this cobalt blue coatdress from Catherine Walker at the 2023 Easter celebration, but she wore it previously for the 2022 Commonwealth Day Service.

Now there is a crucial rewear in this photo, can you guess it? If you guessed her iconic Superga sneakers, then you’d be right! This is Kate's most worn re-wear, rocking them over a dozen times as a royal (making the Classic Superga 2750 Cotu shoe a favorite of hers!) She also recently wore them in her UK Mother's Day post.

Back in Nov 2021, Kate debuted this fabulous Fuchsia Hobbs London Tilda Coat to visit Nower Hill High School, and fast forward to 2023, she wore it again in another fabulous ensemble during a visit to Foodshare food bank. (For the 2023 look that made headlines, she paired it with Orelia London Chain Huggie Hoop Earrings and Emmy London Josie Block Heel Pointed Court Shoes!)

So if Kate's 2023 BAFTA gown looked familiar, it's because she originally wore the same one-shouldered Alexander McQueen gown at the 2019 BAFTAs! In fact, the entire outfit is full of rewears like the Jimmy Choo Celeste clutch she's worn multiple times over the years and Aquazzura pumps she also wore to the James Bond premiere in 2021.

On Feb 25, Kate Middleton looked fun and ultra-chic in a red and white houndstooth coat from Catherine Walker & Co. as she attended the Wales vs England rugby match at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. As it turns out, the royal has worn this coat once before back in 2018 on a visit to Stockholm, Sweden. At the time, the Princess of Wales was around seven months with Prince Louis.

When the temperatures drop, Kate Middleton often grabs her chestnut brown coat from Hobbs. The coat, which made its debut in 2012 when she was just starting out as royal, has been worn by Middleton a total of six times in public. According to Kate Middleton Style, the royal also makes changes to the item, including a fur collar in one appearance and asking for a longer version in this Feb 9 2023 outing.

Everyone has their go-to winter coat, even Kate Middleton! The royal has worn this navy and green Holland Cooper Blackwatch Tartan Coat three times now, most recently during her Jan 11, 2023 visit to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. Previously, Middleton wore it to plant a tree in memory the late Queen Elizabeth's at Westminster Abbey in December 2022 and in a film about Remembrance with the Royal British Legion and the Scouts in November 2021.

Kate Middleton originally wore this dress back in a lowkey event in 2012, but she wore it again two years later in 2014 at a reception for the dramatic arts at Buckingham Palace. But that's not all because she wore the stunning red dress from Alexander McQueen again in 2015 at a Christmas party at the Anna Freud Centre Family School.

Back in 2011, Kate wowed in a lilac Alexander McQueen gown for the 2011 BAFTAs. A decade later, she wowed the crowd again in the same dress for the Earthshot Prize Awards in 2021.

Kate Middleton and Elle Woods have a lot in common, including their ability to look amazing in hot pink pieces. Back in late 2014, Kate wore this pink Mulberry coat at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum and wore it again three months later at the Stephen Lawrence Centre with her curled hair down. The last time she wore it again was back in 2018 while visiting Coventry Cathedral. Not only do we love that she's recycled this look a few times, but she was pregnant every time she wore it! Honestly, we love this maternity look.

Back at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Kate looked enchanting in this teal bespoke Jenny Packham gown at the BOA Olympic Concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Everyone fell in love with not only her gown, but her matching accessories throughout. Then in 2018, Kate wore the ensemble again for the Tusk Conservation Awards in London with the only difference being that her hair was down.

Kate has worn this maroon Paule Ka two-piece suit at least three times in public and has looked amazing every single time. She originally wore it back in Oct. 2012 at London's Middle Temple. The Duchess of Cambridge wore it again nearly five years later in 2017 with darker accessories for her first appearance as the royal patron for Action for Children. The last time she wore it was back in Nov. 2018 at the University College London in similar dark accessories.

Back in 2014 at a commemoration of the Normandy Landings in Arromanches, France, Kate and Will looked so stylish (and so in love!) Kate rocked this blue Alexander McQueen coatdress, which she wore again in 2016 for the 75th Anniversary of the RAF Air Cadets London and in 2019 at the Royal Ceremonial Naming of the new polar research ship, the RRS Sir David Attenborough, per Kate Middleton Style.

Okay, a color we need to see more of from Kate is purple because she looks absolutely breathtaking in this Oscar de la Renta two-piece. She first wore it in 2017 at the Guild of Health Writers Conference with Heads Together at Chandos House in London, pairing it with black tights and a black clutch. Then in 2019 for her visit to the Royal Opera House, she wore almost the same outfit but with Rupert Sanderson heels and an Aspinal mock croc handbag.

This dress from Eponine London is the epitome of Springtime and we are still obsessed with it years later. Back in 2016, Kate rocked the retro dress with nude heels and an L.K Bennett clutch while visiting the XLP Project. She wore it exactly a year later with black accessories for the Best Beginnings charity event.

Why isn't this dress talked about more? Kate originally wore this stunning yellow Roksanda Ilincic sheath dress in 2014 while on her royal tour of Australia and again at the 2016 Wimbledon Championships.

Yet again, Kate Middleton stuns in a Jenny Packham dress. Back in 2011, she wore the Swarovski-encrusted blush dress at an event at the Kensington Palace and again five years later in 2016 at East Anglia's Children's Hospices.

If there's one color Kate Middleton rocks every single time, it's white. This unique Barbara Casasola dress has lived in our minds ever since she first wore it at the Art Fund Museum of the Year event in 2016. Then she rocked it again with her iconic blow-out hair in 2019 at the UK-based charity Action on Addiction gala dinner.
