RECALL ALERT: Brand of infant walkers fail to meet federal safety standards

Zeno Infant Walkers are being recalled after not meeting federal safety standards.

One brand of infant walkers is being recalled because it failed federal safety standards.

The recall is for Zeno collapsible infant walkers with adjustable height settings that were sold online through Walmart from October 2018 through August 2021 for between $130 and $160, a release said.

The walkers can fit through a standard doorway and are not designed to stop at the edge of a step as required by the federal safety standard, the release said.

According to the recall, the walkers also have leg openings that allow the child to slip down until the childs head can become entrapped at the neck and babies using these walkers can be seriously injured or killed.

The walkers have a black, teal, pink or gray frame; a gray or black seat and a white, teal or pink tray with some styles having toy attachments and a push handle and Babywalker stitched on the seatback.

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission said consumers should immediately stop using the recalled infant walkers and contact Zeno via e-mail to receive a shipping label to return the infant walker free of charge.

Once the walker is returned, consumers will be issued a full refund of the purchase price.

So far, there have been no injuries reported.
