Our 5 Favorite Andrew Walker Hallmark Movies
Home » Our 5 Favorite Andrew Walker Hallmark Movies
Lets face it, we’re a sucker for Hallmark films. We’re a sucker for the formula, the romance, the mystery, and definitely the leading men of Hallmark. One of those leading men being Andrew Walker.
It's not just because of his six pack abs and jaw porn that we love the Canadian actor. We needed to clarify, sure, but also we bet that you’re now looking that part up and verifying for yourself.
Sorry Andrew.
We love Andrew because of the roles that he chooses, his talent, and the difference that he wants to make in the world. Not to mention Little West (which we know has nothing to do with acting, but it's just really good).
Andrew has done a lot of movies, so breaking down our favorite movies of his, well… that's hard. But hey, we did it.
We limited ourselves to our top five Hallmark movies that star Andrew Walker and it wasn't easy, but hey… we got there. Agree with them? Disagree with them? See them below –
MY SECRET VALENTINE
What It's About: Chloe is upset her dad might sell their winery and "stress snacks" with a cute guy who turns out to be Seth, the wine rep. They spar until she goes to the cabin, rundown since her mom died. There she finds a note offering help from Handyman and she thanks him, signing In Need of Repairs. Meanwhile, Seth tries to win her over, but it's Handyman she's crushing on, so she asks that they meet. Walking into the Tavern together, Seth and Chloe have no clue they’re meeting each other until he figures it out, keeping her entertained when Handyman fails to show. The day of the festival, Chloe and Seth win a contest and seal their victory with a kiss. But their joy is short-lived when her dad admits he's decided to sell. Racing to the cabin to talk to Handyman, Chloe sees the torn contract and realizes Seth was her secret crush all along.
Why We Loved Him In It: My Secret Valentine, we admit, we came for watching Lacey Chabert, but stayed for the chemistry that Andrew and Lacey had on the screen. We loved his character, who we mistook to be a complete and utter douchebag, but ended up being as lovable as could be and completely misunderstood.
We love a character that grows on us and makes us want to get to know more about them. We love character growth. We love a misunderstood character. We loved the way Andrew was able to portray Seth in a way that we wanted to punch him, but also made sure to play him in a way where you grew to want a Seth of your own.
THREE WISE MEN AND A BABY
What It's About: Three brothers experience unexpected journeys of self-discovery and healing when they are forced to work together to care for a baby throughout the holidays.
Why We Loved Him In It: We love an ensemble cast. We love characters that we can get a pep talk from. And hey, this movie was fun, filled with laughter, and well… Andrew's characters affirmation scene is something that we’re always going to want to see… for the pep talk, obviously.
MY CHRISTMAS FAMILY TREE
What It's About: A woman meets long-lost relatives for the first time after discovering her family tree during the holidays.
Why We Loved Him In It: This is one of our favorite Hallmark Christmas movies, because of the pure heart of the movie. It is about love and finding ones self and honesty. In the movie, Andrew's character, Kris, is one that is supportive, not judgemental, and he's just endearing. He makes you want to be the person that sees loves in everything. The way he plays Kris makes you want a Kris in your life and well, a delivery of a Christmas tree and a big hug.
BOTTLED WITH LOVE
What It's About: Career-focused executive Abbey decides in a moment of impulsiveness to pour her innermost feelings into an anonymous letter she seals in a bottle and tosses into Boston Harbor. Months later, it washes ashore and is discovered by Nick, son of the CEO of the company where Abbey works. Nick contacts the mystery woman from the letter, and without knowing each other's identity, the two develop an online romance, while at the same time, not getting along as they are forced to work together on a project. When their two worlds finally collide, things do not turn out as they hoped.
Why We Loved Him In It: Message in a Bottle was never a movie we loved, but we do love Bottled With Love. It was the sweetness and the innocence of Andrews character, Nick, that hooked us. It was the way that Andrew gave Nick this strength, but also showed the side that really just wanted to be loved for who
THE 27-HOUR DAY
What It's About: Taking a break from her wellness empire, an entrepreneur develops a budding romance with a handsome man at a relaxing retreat.
Why We Loved Him In It: We’re suckers for a man who works with his hands, loves animals, and is zen AF. That's what Andrews character of Jack is. He's just so inviting and so loving and while Jack is making sure everyone else is okay, he's neglecting himself. But as he's teaching other people to live their best lives, they are also teaching him. Andrew brings Jack to life with such grace, that you’re listening to his wisdom and wanting to live your best life and not just exist through it.
Works too hard. Plays too little. Wouldn't have it any other way. Head Bitch In Charge.
