Man arrested after riding toy scooter on U.S. 23
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A California man was arrested in Pikeville for driving a toy scooter on U.S. 23.
Police received numerous calls Friday afternoon about the man driving the scooter around 5 or 10 miles an hour, backing up traffic a considerable distance and nearly causing several collisions. Pikeville Police and state troopers both responded to the calls and attempted to pull him over, but he reportedly screamed and cursed at the officers and continued down the highway.
Finally, after multiple officers responded, the man, identified as Tyrone Lloyd Frazier, 56, of Hollywood, Calif., pulled onto the shoulder of the highway. Despite stopping, Frazier allegedly continued to scream at and threaten officers and resisted attempts to arrest him.
He was eventually taken into custody and charged with obstructing a highway, driving too slow for traffic conditions, resisting arrest and numerous other charges.
