LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man is accused of using a baby stroller to steal over $3,000 worth of alcohol at a north Lincoln store last month.
The theft was reported Sunday around 4:30 p.m. at Wall to Wall Wine & Spirits near 27th and Superior Streets.
Lincoln Police said an employee noticed a discrepancy while taking inventory in the high-end wine and champagne room.
After reviewing security video, the employee found that the theft had occurred on May 27.
Christopher Rogers, 34, was seen putting seven liquor bottles – worth around $3,079.93 – into a baby stroller before leaving the store.
The next day, Rogers returned to the store and took two bottles of wine, worth around $534.98, police said.
On Sunday, officers found Rogers at his home and took him into custody. He was arrested on suspicion of felony theft by shoplifting.
